On March 15, the final of the 2026 Anhui Provincial University Computer Education Teaching Case Competition was successfully held in Tongling, Anhui. The competition attracted more than 100 elite teams from universities across the province, making it highly competitive. Our school made thorough preparations and actively participated, sending five outstanding teams—all of which stood out and won awards (one special prize, two first prizes, one second prize, and one third prize). This fully demonstrates the school’s deep foundation and strong capability in computer education reform and innovation.
The competition was hosted by the Anhui Provincial Higher Education Computer Education Research Association and featured two tracks: the Regular Teaching Case track and the Graduation Project (Thesis) Case track. It serves as an important platform for evaluating the quality of computer education in universities across the province. In the Regular Teaching Case track, our faculty teams won several major awards with their outstanding teaching design and innovative concepts. Among them, the case titled “TEE-Based Privacy-Preserving Face Recognition System” by Shuli Zheng, Wanghong Li, Liang Ding, and Yuanzhi Yao won the Special Prize for its unique technical perspective and clear, in-depth teaching approach. In addition, the case “Curriculum Group Development for System Hardware Capability Cultivation” completed by Tian Chen, Jianhua Li, Jun Liu, Xianqing Ding, Xia Que, and Yi Yang, and the case “Multidisciplinary Integrated Information System Software Design” by Guofu Zhang, Zhaopin Su, Xiaohong Li, and Huaijuan Zang, both won first prizes for their outstanding teaching achievements and innovation. The case “Gesture Wake-Up and Recognition Experimental Teaching Based on Embedded Intelligent Experiment Platform” by Fan Yang, Xing Wei, Chong Zhao, Xiang Bi, and Huaijuan Zang won the second prize.
In the Graduation Project (Thesis) Case track, our school also performed excellently. The case “Construction and Practice of OBE-Based Teaching System for Electronic Information Undergraduate Graduation Project (Thesis): A Case Study of the School of Computer and Information, Hefei University of Technology” by Peipei Li and Xuegang Hu won the third prize. With its forward-looking teaching philosophy and solid practical results, this case set a new benchmark for graduation project teaching in provincial universities.
The fact that all five teams from our school won awards is an important achievement resulting from our deep commitment to education reform and quality teaching development. The competition not only provided a valuable platform for our faculty to demonstrate teaching talents and exchange teaching experience, but also further stimulated their enthusiasm and creativity in engaging in education reform. Our school will take this opportunity to thoroughly summarize the experience gained, strengthen the promotion and application of high-quality teaching cases, fully leverage the exemplary role of the award-winning cases, further deepen education reform, optimize teaching models, enrich teaching resources, enhance practical teaching, and continuously improve the quality of talent cultivation, contributing more to the vigorous development of computer education.
